Take us back to where this all started! What do you create?

The first piece I made was a sign for my little girl's nursery. From there, I fell in love with creating one of a kind pieces that customers would cherish for years, such as my popular family monogram signs.

Tell us about your business and how it has evolved into what it is today.

At first I thought that getting my hands on a laser would mean starting a small home-based business. I never could have imagined that my fascination with these machines and what started as a small “nap-time hustle” would have evolved into creating my beloved brand, That Mom With A Laser.

What inspired you to buy a laser?

What can I say? I love MAKING things. My creative heart went wild when I saw what a laser machine could do. Once I saw one, there was no turning back. It's like I had a deep, undenying feeling that going into the laser engraving industry was meant for me.

In what ways has your business grown, or changed since buying a laser?

Thanks to my laser, I now have a full-time, rapidly expanding business with two employees and plans for more. I recently opened up a warehouse which will allow me to mass produce laser-made products and other additional laser educational services.

My Mira 7 has helped take That Mom With A Laser to heights that I never imagined possible. I absolutely love what I do. It's been a beautiful thing to finally find a way to harness all of my God-given talents into one business. I am beyond grateful to Aeon Laser USA for not only teaching me, but for believing in me. They held my hand every step of the way and now, the sky's the limit!

What advice do you have for people interested in getting a laser?

My advice for others looking into lasers is to take your time while shopping (I know it's a big decision) but don't let fear paralyze you from taking action. On the other side of your fear and uncertainty is a world of possibilities. I'm wishing you every success, Maker. ❤️

Looking back, tell us about your significant turning point, or perhaps even an obstacle you had to overcome to get where you are now.

Somewhere along my journey I felt compelled to teach other creative entrepreneurs how to operate lasers.

I found that teaching myself was challenging. The content on YouTube, while helpful, felt dry, complex, and intimidating. There is so much a business owner can leverage with a laser, that I HAD to tell others about it. I wanted others to know that they are perfectly capable of operating these machines.

Next thing I knew, I was starting my own YouTube channel and doing my best to simplify the laser engraving process. Now, I spend my days developing new product designs, teaching, and hopefully helping others move forward in their lives.
